Vehicular Manslaughter

Don't worry, I didn't kill anyone with my car (Blanche Dubois)...yet. It's only a matter of time before that happens, but today wasn't that day! I did come close though. As I was driving to Guttenburg to go walk another dog, this drunk walks into the middle of the road and just stands there while looking at my car. I slam on the breaks because the dude starts walking towards the car and eventually to my window. He says something to me in spanish which I should have understood considering that I'm Cuban (A terrible Cuban because I can't speak spanish anymore :(. The spanish community now hates me) but he just walks away as I tell him to go fuck himself. I sped off as quickly as I could when he got near the car in fear of getting car jacked...again.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure he was wasted because when I looked in the rear view mirror he was stumbling around in the road. So even if I did kill him, I wouldn't feel as bad. Until that night I'm sleeping in my jail cell, crying myself to sleep.

In other news, today I realized that I had accomplished my dream of being on www.notcot.org. Now this happened a few months ago and it didn't hit me until today that being featured on that site was a goal I wanted to accomplish by the time I was 24. High five for me! But now I'm greedy. I want more! So here's the new goal, I need to get back on it. Thus my new project must begin soon or else...I'll just never do it. Details on that soon, promise. Anyway, It's time for me to depart. The VP debates are about to begin and I desperately need to see Sarah Palin drown in her own stupidity.

Babies: A Plague Upon This Nation

It really drives me up the fucking wall when a parent must bring a baby to go see a fucking movie. Especially if the movie is PG-13 or R. Now I'm sure this is a problem that many people have ranted about and now it's my turn to go ape shit over it. So today's adventure began when my girlfriend and I decided to go to the movies to check out Eagle Eye since it started raining at the festival we were at. Now from what I could gather, the movie was pretty cool for what it was. But I think I could have gotten into it waaaaaay more if it hadn't been for the baby 5 rows above us, crying for I don't know...90% of the fucking movie.

Now I understand what most people might say. Parents have to get out sometimes especially when there is a new born. It's essential, so they don't go stark raving mad. But I don't see why they can't hire a fucking baby sitter or at least leave the fucking baby with a family member. Be courteous to the other people in the theater who forked up 11 bucks to go see a fucking movie. I'm pretty sure the baby doesn't want to see Shia Le'bouf as much as you do.

What really got under my skin though was the fact that the parent did not even leave the theater to calm down the kid. They just sat there, letting the baby cry, for the whole entire fucking movie. Come on. COME. ON. No really, dialogue that will explain the plot to me doesn't really matter anyway. I just like watching explosions. Thats what I paid to see. Explosions. Explosions and the cries of infants. Thats how I love to spend my sundays. If I had known that the sound track to Eagle Eye was going to be babies crying, I would have gone home and jerked off into a tissue. Which to me, is more productive. But I guess it doesn't really matter since parents will keep doing this. Nothing will change. Idiots still roam the earth. Oh well. I gave my 2 cents.

In other news, I just finished my portrait of David Cross. I think it depicts him pretty well if I do say so myself.

Rumblings from the desk

Well it's Thursday, the week is almost over. I've been keeping myself occupied with The Office. Never really knew why I don't sit down and watch it more often. By the way, this is a pointless entry to distract me as I procrastinate a new illustration. I'm trying to get the colors down but fuck, it just doesn't look right. It's frustrating ya know.

This week has been pretty mellow. Hopefully this weekend some cataclysmic event will occur to keep me up and running with a purpose. But nothing serious like a terrorist attack. I'm talking about something more along the lines of an alien invasion, something along those lines. Maybe even a giant monster boxing match in the hudson river. I'd have an amazing view of that.

It's ideas like that, that make me wish A-list directors would be make entertaining shorts of that sort of thing happening. Like if Spielberg made a 10 minute short film about two giant mutants in the middle of a dog fight. I'd pay to see that. Fuck, maybe I should just make it myself. There's my goal for the weekend.

Make low-budget monster movie.

Post Art Show

Well it's Monday now and I started work on a new illustration. Not sure when it will be done, but hopefully by the end of the week. The art show last Friday was great. It had a huge turn out. Granted, most of the people that came showed up for boose, but it did attract a good amount of passerbyers. I sold a few things too which was a big surprise to me and a big joy. But overall it was awesome. Hanging out with the guys and a few friends, tossing down some brew, it was nice. Hopefully the next show will be at a bar, whenever that is.

I actually had something important to say early but I totally fucking forgot. Thats what I get for waiting too long and being a douche bag.

Sowwie.

The Court Tavern

I've been a little quiet as of late. Apologies. I've been trying to get my affairs in order. In any case, I'm proud to announce that I'll be participating in a new art show on Sept. 12th at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick NJ. It should be a fun. Some bands will be playing there and I'll be joined by my two close friends Ish and Rosemary. Framed work will be for sale as well as prints and shirts! More news later, I'm a little tired today.

P.S.
Fuck you fat guy that sat behind me during Hamlet 2.

Shots

I've been meaning to write a blog about the last piece I did, but never got around to it until today. I finished it a couple of days ago, it was a quick drawing session. Which I seem to be doing more and more. I came across some old pictures of some parties I went to not to long ago with some old friends. So I wanted to draw something that reflected the way I was during that time and address a fear I had as I went through it.

There are also some themes of bonding with your friends or even people that you don't really know, over a drink. I chose to express this with the colors of the hands. I usually work in RGB so I found it to be a great way to show a common link between these people. I also named it Rum, Gin & Brandy just because I thought it was cute. This illustration might be hung at my next artshow which will be September 12th. I'll post more details about that soon along with some other interesting news.

It's Wednesday...

M is for Morrissey
Yesterday I completed a new illustration, which was done in record time. To be honest, I don't know if it was record time, but it was finished pretty fast. Pretty fast in my world means a day. It's a lovely picture of one of the greatest singers of our time, Morrissey. Once again, trying something new. The majority of the picture is black, white and gray. His eyes are the only thing that have color. I felt it was appropriate to color his eyes since they make me weak in the knees.

I posted the picture everywhere so I'm waiting for feedback on it.

The shirts are coming soon, I promise.
