The Court Tavern

I've been a little quiet as of late. Apologies. I've been trying to get my affairs in order. In any case, I'm proud to announce that I'll be participating in a new art show on Sept. 12th at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick NJ. It should be a fun. Some bands will be playing there and I'll be joined by my two close friends Ish and Rosemary. Framed work will be for sale as well as prints and shirts! More news later, I'm a little tired today.

Shots

I've been meaning to write a blog about the last piece I did, but never got around to it until today. I finished it a couple of days ago, it was a quick drawing session. Which I seem to be doing more and more. I came across some old pictures of some parties I went to not to long ago with some old friends. So I wanted to draw something that reflected the way I was during that time and address a fear I had as I went through it.

There are also some themes of bonding with your friends or even people that you don't really know, over a drink. I chose to express this with the colors of the hands. I usually work in RGB so I found it to be a great way to show a common link between these people. I also named it Rum, Gin & Brandy just because I thought it was cute. This illustration might be hung at my next artshow which will be September 12th. I'll post more details about that soon along with some other interesting news.

It's Wednesday...

Yesterday I completed a new illustration, which was done in record time. To be honest, I don't know if it was record time, but it was finished pretty fast. Pretty fast in my world means a day. It's a lovely picture of one of the greatest singers of our time, Morrissey. Once again, trying something new. The majority of the picture is black,white and gray. His eyes are the only thing that have color. I felt it was appropriate to color his eyes since they make me weak in the knees.

I posted the picture everywhere so I'm waiting for feedback on it.

Green Tea In The Morning

Haven't really posted up anything in a while. I've been waiting for good news to roll in but I'm bored and this place has been lacking in updates, so I'll toss some your way. The shirt's are coming out great, we're just working on a few more designs before we start whoring ourselves out. Money is big issue with the delay.

I recently found a great framing warehouse and print shop to do all my work. So prints of my illustrations and designs will be available to purchase VERY soon. Plus I have framed artwork thats going to be sold.

A few friends of mine are working on putting an art show at a bar with a few bands playing in the stage area. That should be entertaining and hopefully not as sucky as my first art show. I shit you not, it was a disaster. But it won't really matter anyway because I'm pretty sure I'll be shit faced this time around.
